Artisan Bakers are craftspeople trained to mix, ferment, shape and bake a hand crafted bread. True artisan breads contain: flour, water, salt and yeast. Some Artisan Bakers will include other foods, such as tomatoes, olives, onions. They are made in small batches of bakery products that avoid the use of chemicals or artificial preservatives. They carefully source local, healthy ingredients, and sell locally, to “reduce” food miles.
